I was able to read this book. Cisco Press CCNP and CCIE Enterprise Core ENCOR 350-401 Official Cert Guide (I bought the ebook and hard copy, which I then employed Calibre for converting the EPUB files to MOBI format to fit on the Kindle Paperwhite), and I started using Pluralsight Cisco ENCOR (350-401) for CCNP Enterprise but was dissatisfied by the fact that the ENCOR learning path was not complete (not any of ENCOR subjects included). I decided to try CBT Nuggets CCNP Enterprise Online Training to see if I could pass. However, I found the training insufficient and ended up canceling my subscription.
Official Certification Guide
To complement the ENCOR Official Certification Guide, I bought an additional guidebook, the Cisco Press CCNP, as well as CCIE Enterprise Core and the CCNP Enterprise Advanced Routing Portable Command Guide that includes all ENCOR (350-401) along with ENARSI (300-410) commands in one Compact Portable resource. I am impressed by the concise layout provided in the Portable Command Guides.
After feeling as if I’d wasted a whole year of studying, I decided to try David Bombal and Kevin Wallace’s Complete CCNP (350-401) Master Class on Udemy an attempt. (This course is no longer available on Udemy but can be purchased on David Bombil’s site https://courses.davidbombal.com/p/complete-ccnp-encor-350-401-master-class.) I was delighted by how the Udemy application had been improved over the iPhone. I also realized how great a teacher Kevin Wallace is. Highly recommend the class to anyone interested in ENCOR preparation.
An effective game plan for passing the test:
- I began reading the entire ENCOR Official Cert Guide (alternating between the hard copy or Kindle edition) and making notes in my happy green notebook, chapter by section.
- However, only sometimes in the order.
- I watched David Bombal and Kevin Wallace’s Complete CCNP ENCOR (350-401) Master Course on Udemy.
- How bought Boson Ex-Sim MAX for Cisco 350-401 ENCOR. I also purchased Boson NetSim for Cisco 350-201 ENCOR.
- I wrote handwritten flashcards to aid in the repetitive memorization of subjects.
- I practiced test questions using Quizlet on my iPhone.
As I was chatting with Cisco Press author Scott Empson at Cisco Live 2022 in Las Vegas, He recommended Patrick Gargano’s Cisco Press 31 Days Before Your CCNP and the CCIE Enterprise Core Exam, so I bought the book. The book came with an open tracker with perforations inspired by Cisco’s Official Cisco ENCOR 350-401 blueprint. I ripped the tracker off, using it as a way to monitor the progress I made in my studies.

Concentrating on the Cisco ENCOR 350 401 Blueprint. I cannot stress this enough. I’ll explain further in detail below.

My top tip for preparing to take the ENCOR exam is to print an official Cisco Training blueprint. You can utilize it as your guide reference instead of letting yourself be overwhelmed by the variety of topics and the sheer size of the Official Cert Guide. Pay attention to the language and organize your study accordingly.
This was the key to my ability to pass my exam on the first try. I used the tear-out versions of Cisco Press 31 Days Before Your CCNP and CCIE Enterprise Core Exam.
